What exactly is Mindshare?

Mindshare is your influence score across Farcaster social graph. It measures authentic, high-signal interactions (recasts, likes, replies, quote casts and follows) and updates daily. Think of it as proof-of-attention that reflects your reputation onchain.

Why is Mindshare calculated daily?

Attention shifts quickly. With daily recalculations, Inflynce ensures rankings remain fresh and fair, giving both emerging and established creators visibility opportunities.

Does app / client I use affect my Mindshare?

No. It doesn’t matter whether you use Farcaster, Base App or any other Farcaster client. Mindshare is calculated based on Farcaster social graph.

Which interactions count toward Mindshare?

• Recasts, likes, replies, quote casts and follows on public posts
• Only meaningful, high-signal interactions are included
• Spam, irrelevant or low-quality activity is filtered out

Do self-engagements increase my Mindshare?

No. Actions on your own posts (liking or recasting yourself) don't count. Inflynce rewards genuine engagement from others only.

How are bots or fake accounts filtered out?

The algorithm identifies unusual patterns like repeated engagements, clustered bot activity and low-quality interactions. These are automatically excluded from Mindshare calculations.

What are the benefits of having a high Mindshare?

A higher Mindshare unlocks:

• More rewards when participating in Boosting Campaigns
• Greater visibility in Hub and Leaderboards
• Stronger reputation that projects and communities trust

Can my Mindshare ever reset to zero?

Yes. If you become inactive or your interactions are flagged as low-signal, your daily recalculation may result in a very low score - even zero. This ensures the system reflects current activity, not past performance.

Do interactions on other networks (e.g. X/Twitter) affect my Mindshare?

No. Mindshare exclusively measures activity on Farcaster graph. External platforms aren't included.

What's the best way to grow my Mindshare quickly?

Focus on:

• Creating relevant, valuable casts
• Receiving engagement across diverse communities, beyond your immediate circle

Quality is more important than quantity - high volume without substance won't improve your score.

Can every user earn Mindshare or is there a limit?

Every Farcaster account can earn Mindshare. However, rewards scale with quality - not everyone will rank highly. The system recognizes genuine contributors on Farcaster social graph.

Why did my Mindshare drop?

Possible reasons:

• Your recent engagement was minimal or irrelevant
• Interactions came from bots or low-signal accounts (which get filtered)
• Other users gained more high-quality attention, shifting the overall rankings

How does Mindshare connect to Inflynce Points (IP)?

Daily, 1,000 IP are distributed to top contributors based on their Mindshare scores. The higher your score, the larger your share of the daily IP rewards.
